Trevar Bennington
President
Trevar Bennington has been training his entire life to be the professional that he is today. His experience in outdoor sports and business combines his knowledge and skillsets to create an insurance brokerage that offers the most comprehensive outdoor policies that can be found.
Trevar’s passion for the outdoors began early. His grandpa owned a gun shop, which had Trevar out every weekend learning the ropes of hunting and fishing with his elders. His dad introduced him to skiing when he was 12. His young passion led to him earning a degree in ski area management and then managing operations at Jay Peak and Sugarbush in Vermont. In 1995, Trevar joined his dad in the insurance business in Virginia, where he then worked in the sophisticated market of Washington D.C. and the surrounding area.
As Trevar became increasingly fluent in the insurance marketplace, he was mountain bike racing on the weekends and subsequently found a passion for road racing, quickly earning elite amateur status. Trevar is also a class 5 whitewater kayaker who has traveled from Colorado to Central and South America to satisfy his interest. Though steep creek boating in the east remains his favorite boating style. All the while, Trevar continued chasing powder from West Virginia to Utah to interior British Columbia. In 2021 Trevar took third place in his age group in Master’s National’s Mountain Bike Enduro.
After 17 years in insurance, Trevar took the bold move to strike out on his own to start AdventSure: Insurance for the Outdoor World. His decision to focus on an industry that he loves allows him to use his experience and knowledge to provide the most comprehensive insurance policies for outdoor recreation businesses that otherwise have challenges finding the right coverage.
When Trevar is out of the office, you can find him practicing wheelies, backcountry skiing in the La Sal mountains or running the A-lines on Captain Ahab with his dog, Marlo.

Michelle Wiley
Account Executive
When Michelle first visited Utah in 1990 at the age of 17, she didn’t know that there would be mountains, Mormons, or deserts. She soon took to the former and the latter. Backcountry exploring and summiting peaks were her first interests. She worked for 100 hours on a trail crew in exchange for a ski pass at Brighton Ski Resort without ever having skied previously.
Michelle moved to Moab in 1994 to work on a native fishes research project on the Colorado River and then spent several years working in central Utah in wilderness therapy teaching at-risk youth backcountry survival skills.
Michelle developed and honed her organization and communication skills as co-owner and project manager for a residential real estate development project that included negotiating with municipalities and private landowners. She was also responsible for keeping a bird’s eye view of the entire project to ensure that the cat wrangling was as effective as possible.
Michelle now enjoys the home she built in said residential development with Trevar and their dog, Marlo. She earned her Level One BICP certification in 2019 and enjoys enduro and downhill disciplines of mountain biking. She loves teaching and helping others with their mountain bike skills. She is inspired to chase those who out-skill her on the bike down the trail.
Michelle’s experience as a BICP coach and having spent the majority of her adult life working and playing outside in Moab allows her to understand the needs of AdventSure clients and businesses.
